i've been following this tutorial and i got to step 3 and i cant get backup to work... is there a way that i can wipe everything i've done. Start from stock and try again?

hmmm, i may have jumped out of my jurisdiction on this one. I have no clue anymore...
 
okay, if i unplug it from the computer and just boot normally.. it does boot normaly. but i still can't backup my rom. i'd still like to

[EDIT] when you have the black screen and exclamation point, press up and power, in that white boot menu, go to use the first option, bootloader, if you deleted the orinal pc16.. blah blah.zip file you should be ok. Then use the volume rocker to get to recovery, and press the power button to select.

You should have a nandroid option here.

ah, i see where the confusion is. see post above.

Yes if your rooted that should work. It will restore you to stock 2.1 with root access, if your not rooted it wont help you.

also when i rooted i ended up loosing all my info. I dont think you can do a nandroid backup untill your fully rooted. i could be wrong. Back up with titanium (all apps+system data) and then dont worry about the nandorid back up till your finnished with the whole process.
