I reset mine last night and apps lol completely different. Phone seems much faster and less cluttered. I kept wondering why some apps didn't look the same on my wife's note 3. Now I know.

Will a cache clear remove anything from my phone? Or will I lose anything?

Nope. Just system data which is not user data.

Ok quick question I'm thinking about reseting my note 3, will I lose all my pictures on and off my SD card? I'm not worried about the apps I can just re download them

If you have tons of apps on your Note like I do, I wipe the cache every so often to keep thing running as smooth as possible. Also after Updates as well. I'm not a factory reset person with so much stuff on my phone to replace.

Cool. Sometimes a simple cache clear does wonders, too.

This. A factory reset seems like way too much work for me. The cache clear is relatively painless and improved my post kit kat better life

What apps in particular look different?

The kitkat update cleared the cache automatically after the reboot.

I tried this to get rid of the KitKat update pop up....didn't work. I'm afraid the only way to get rid of the annoying KitKat update pop up is to actually install this...this update. Does anyone know how to STOP the pop up?

I read a message from Samsung that when you are notified of the update it will send you a notification every 30 minutes if you denie it
and will continue until you download it!
I don't think you have a choice!

Mine downloaded yesterday and so far it seems just fine.
A little more RAM, the battery seems to last a little longer.
It added 3 new apps.
So far it seems to be running great!
