resetting all applications

Q: is there a way to reset all application setting on my phone? I tried settings/manage applications/ and under the application it has a "use default" but they are all shaded and unclickable. My problem is that I am running "GDE Home" and I just purchased "open home" my phone seems confused on what to run and will keep switching between both apps. I was just hoping I could reset everything and reset up all over.

You could always uninstall both of them from the device, and install the one you wish to keep.

Seems to be easiest, just in case something else odd happens and then you drive yourself even more nuts trying to correct it.
