I have an original Dinc which seems to restart on its own. Could this be an issue with stock firmware? It has always done it and so I don't think its an app issue.

Does it always restart when you are doing the same thing? i.e. browsing the web or trying to send a text etc. Mine does this every once in a while. It actually did it twice in a row the other day when I was trying to view a specific website. & I am rooted and running a custom ROM so the firmware might not be the reason...

Mine does this an a rare occasion, not too often but it is something that you tend to remember. (I've had it reboot randomly at 2AM and yell 'DROID!' at me before, thought SkyNet had started)

I've seen this happen with a lot of DInc users, be they stock or rom'ed, so that kinda kicks the software out the window unless multiple roms suffer from the same issue.

It's completely random and I figured it was probably hardware. Thanks folks!

FWIW, if you're running the stock ROM, doing a factory reset might fix it. :-!

Do you use a case? I had the same problem with mine until I used a seidio case, i know it sounds dumb but I think my battery was moving 1750.

2.2?

Stock firmware in your case... but if you're rooted - unknown issues.

As mentioned in the above post.. Try resetting the phone.

It's stock firmware and I've also I think it happens more when the battery is below 50% or could be my imagination. I have a 3500 mah battery.

Sometimes a widget on the home screen can cause this as well. Check your non-stock widgets (any HTC or google widgets should be fine).
