Hi guys,

I have an AT&T HTC One. I unwittingly used HTC's Backup application to backup all my contacts/apps/etc to a folder in my Dropbox account. After that I rooted the device I successfully installed Cyanogenmod 10.2 with Android 2.3. Unfortunately, I am now unable to download/install the HTC Backup app in order to restore my data because the app isn't compatible (presumably with rooted devices or Android 4.3)

I have the backup folder sitting in my Dropbox. Is there any other app I could use to restore my data from my dropbox folder? Thanks!

The HTC backup app would be a part of sense, which cyanogenmod is not. So there's no support there.

I guess you could try downloading helium backup or titanium backup and try moving the file from your drop box to one of those apps in a file manager. Not sure if that'll actually work though.

Or you could flash a sense ROM and restore the HTC sync backup, then backup your data with titanium or some related app. Now devs don't usually recommend restoring data like that between Roms since it can mess stuff up, so do that at your own will.

If devs don't recommend restoring data using TiBu, what is the best way to restore data between ROMs? I'm trying upgrade to a ROM running 4.3 and I've run into major difficulties restoring my apps and data using TiBu.
