Return Phone to Sprint, Best Buy or LG?

My phone has been freezing and then restarting every couple of minutes. Cleared cache and whatnot with no luck, and just did a factory reset and the issue persisted. I've had it for over a month.

I'm going to have to return the phone. Honestly, I've never had to return a phone for warranty. I purchased it from Best Buy, but it's a sprint phone. I didn't buy any extra insurance from Sprint, Best Buy or LG. So who do I return the phone to? I have read some horror stories of LG taking over 3 weeks to get the phone back to the customer and I don't have a spare phone to use, so I really hope that's not the only option.

Thank you.

I'd start at best buy and see what they tell you. If they say no, try Sprint. If they say no, you might be stuck with LG.

Without insurance, Best Buy nor Sprint will take the phone back.

When people don't get insurance, they are taking the responsibility of the phone on themselves....and you'll have to use the one year manufacturers warranty.

Not necessarily. I've had multiple instances in my 18 years with Sprint where they have replaced my phone without any insurance. It's not always cut and dry which is why it never hurts to ask.

So you are saying that Sprint doesn't honor the MFG warranty, and replace the phone for the customer?

I don't think the OP is looking to return the phone for money back, just in an attempt to get a working phone. If Sprint doesn't honor warranties, it's no surprise it fell behind T-Mobile :P

Sprint doesn't offer the warranty. The manufacturers do. So to use said warranty, you need to contact the manufacturer.

In the past Sprint had a way to order refurbished phones in the retail stores without insurance. That hasn't been the case for about a year. I can only speak to current policy.

I got my phone from Best Buy and didn't get the Geek Squad protection. I'm on Sprint to. BB will default to whoever your carrier is.

It must be your local Sprint then. I've never had an issue swapping out phones with Sprint when it was a Manufacturer defect. All the stores around here do it if they have a tech on hand.

Absolutely they do that, but only if you have insurance

I bought an LG G4 from Sprint in June and did not purchase any insurance. It went into an infinite bootloop the other day and I took it back to a Sprint store where they ordered me refurbished phone to replace it.
