Gents,
Have a question before I return the fascinate into verizon.
Yes i was rooted, running voodoo comrom etc... Well I used the D101
Package tar to bring it back to stock. Question is does this take of all
traces of being rooted before I send it back to verizon? or do I have to do anything else.
Thanks

Anyone? I just want to make sure its all clean..
I used the DI01package3.tar.tar... Then did the OTA software updates...
Just want to make sure this wipes everything off so they cant tell it was rooted...
Or do i need to do other things along with this?

If you used the full package and then did OTA up to either ED04 or ED05 you removed all traces of root.

Sorry to redundant, but is CI500_VZW_DL09_ECLAIR.tar the full package? So If I odin that particular package and OTA up to ED05, I will be able to return my phone to verizon?

you dont even need to do the OTA... after flashing that in ODIN, you will be back on stock DL09

You mentioned in another thread that to return a phone to verizon you need to flash a full rom and a pit file. Is the pit file really necessary for the phone to be returned?

probably not... but it doesn't hurt. It doesn't take any more time (except for clicking PIT and selecting re-partition in ODIN)... ODIN will still take about 5-6 minutes to push the files
