Talk about a weird look from the guy at Sprint lol. I had the note for 4 days. After having one replaced on the first day due to a defective screen. A slew of issues which cause a factory reset by day 4. I was done with that phone for good. That phone just has to much going on. The in display fingerprint is slow and fails constantly. The raise to wake is slower than this phone. The tap to wake is slower than this phone. Bixby still can't control my hue lights unlike Google. Really wanted to use the gestures on the s pen, that barely worked if ever.

I am loving these gestures on Android 10, that's the one thing apple does better in my opinion. They have down gesture control and Google was smart to just copy it lol. The system wide dark mode is awesome as well.

I mean you can setup google on the note 10 + which is what i did i dont know how it would work on the HUE. My problem is that my top speaker sounds louder then my bottom one. idk why they did not stick to a mono speaker setup.

You went from a Mercedes to a Kia

Had to do a full reset just to get home control back on the note 10+. It wouldn't work at all, it would only search turn on my kitchen lights. Which is useless haha.

Whats good about a Mercedes if it's always having issues. This Kia worked out of the box with zero issues and zero frustration.
Aside from features is it possible you got a bad one? I only ask because I'm not seeing a whole lot of issues being reported

So glad you phone a phone that you love, does what you want it to, and is efficient!

Sales reps are an interesting species. To be honest, I don't really let them tell me what to do - I do my research and walk in knowing what I want! Don't let them try and convince you otherwise!

Getting back to the Pixel 3a line, it's a fantastic one! I've never seen a device line with such packed specs and a spectacular camera at an unbeatable price. The closest would be OnePlus but their cameras aren't as proficient as Google's, IMO.

It started out with the first phone having a dead pixel right in the middle. Replaced that phone the same day. The note was fine until yesterday and that's when everything compounded. It's not worth the stress and hassle just to get a phone to work. If I am going to spend 1100 on a phone it should work out of the box like my 399 pixel does.

I can't stand that they always try to talk me I to the liquid screen protector. I then explain that when that scratches I still have a screen with a scratch and no way to replace the screen protector at that point. It's just paying more for a screen that will scratch and cant be fixed lol.

I have a thing about showing up sales reps who don't really know a lot about what they are talking about. Don't get me wrong - a lot of sales reps are so knowledgeable about their products; but some are not. Stick to your guns - you have a really good point about the liquid screen protectors!

Sucks that you had a bad experience with the Note. I have always loved that series. But, I will say that the Pixel 3a is an awesome performer. It doesn't have the features or the screen of the Note but it is really a great smartphone.

Agreed, the note 5 is probably my all time favorite phone. I really enjoyed the note 9 had to switch to iphone because of work. That's not the case any more so I switched back to android. While I'm sure my experience is in the minority, it wasn't worth the day of frustration. I do love the 14 day return policy for this very reason.

The 3a is a terrific device, I have one and in some ways I prefer it to the Note. Also Samsungs gestures are IMO pretty terrible and I have to combine them with one handed operation plus but still clunky vs the Pixels (and Huaweis and Oneplus....)

If the 3a came in a 128gb option it would probably be my main phone.

Haha, I just want a device that's works with little effort past logging into my accounts. The note 10+ was not able to do that. This piece of plastic works perfectly and I have had zero issues even with Android 10. It just works exactly like expected!!

What kind of battery life are you getting with the 3a?
