Returning a Rooted HTC Thunderbolt Situation

Hi, I have an HTC Thunderbolt that I rooted a while ago, thinking that it'll be a while until I upgrade again. However, I didn't take into account the void it might place on my insurance.

My situation:
  1. I deleted most of the bloatware (or pre-installed) apps before backing them up (stupid me).
  2. I need to return the phone that I have right now to Verizon in order to get another phone.

Problem:
  1. I understand how to unroot and return the phone back to its manufacture state but now I'm scouting around for those apps.
  2. Where can I find those apps?
  3. Do you think they will accept it still? After all, it's now with Assurion, as opposed to the Warranty.

Some Hope...
  1. I have another HTC Thunderbolt that is recertified and has never been used by me.
  2. Can't I just return that one? OR Are they looking for my specific phone with a specific serial number? Will they charge me if they found out it's not the one I'm using now?

Any possible solutions?

Best thing you can probably do is try to find a completely stock ROM, install it then go through the unroot process....easy way I know. Search the forums and see if you can find a link for a out-of-box, stock ROM, complete with all apps, untouched.

Good advice. Synycalwon has posted links to the 2.11.605.9 RUU in quite a few threads which should help you out. Download the file, rename it to PG05IMG, put it on the root of your sd card, reboot into hboot, wait for the phone to prompt you to update, hit the up volume button, and reboot when it finishes. This will get you back to the stock ROM. If you want to unroot, just use trter's all in one tool.

Thanks! That was very helpful! :) I'll probably get around this after midterms.... -_-"

Try the all in one tool at the top of the forum page. I deleted all those apps when I first got the bolt. I use this tool to return to stock unrooted and those apps were with no problem.
