Yes, I had a line that had unlimited data. I upgraded the line and got the phone yesterday, and of course had to go to the tiered data plan 2GB for $30. We now would like to return the phone, and go for the new iPhone at retail price instead. When I return the phone, from my understanding, my upgrade/contract date will go back to what they were before, and I was told I would be able to get my unlimited data back, as they put the plan back to what it was before I had the phone. This is correct right? Just making sure I have everything down before the phone gets back to Verizon. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it will be as if you never signed a new contract. Just remember there is a $35 (or so) restocking fee.

Don't take the CSR's word for granted. Make sure you call VZW immediately to confirm you are getting your unlimited data back. If you wait too long they will not restore it. Take a look at my thread "Screwed out of unlimited data".

You have 14 days to return the phone and be able to go back to your original contract etc. And again, remember the $35 restocking fee.
