So, thinking about returning my Fascinate and getting a DInc. What does everyone think?

The call quality on the Fascinate is horrible, and I can't stand it anymore.
I can get a full 2 days out of the Facinate battery, and I know the DInc won't compare in that region.

I also can't stand the size of the Fascinate. From having a flip phone my whole life, it's just too big.

Anyone got any advice?

I've never used a Fascinate so I can't compare the call quality but I have had no problems with mine. I'm in a pretty good 3g area and only lose my signal when I'm in some buildings.

If I was going to buy a phone from Verizon right now I would get the Incredible again because the size is perfect for me and I like Sense.

I would suggest you get an extended battery to help get you through the day. I have the Seidio 1750 which will get me through a day with medium use.

I have both but I prefer the Samsung. I can't tell a bit of difference in call quality. The Samsung 720p is superior and even the camera seems to take much better pictures even though it's 5mp. I can go 3-4 days with the Samsung with a couple hours of gaming a day. It looks like I can go 2 days on SR3.3 with the extended battery in the Inc (which is about the best I've had) with much less use than the Samsung. At least I can make it throught the day with the extended battery in the Inc, I was charging twice a day. Unfortunately the extended battery make the phone a tad thicker than a Droid\Droid2. The Samsung is thin so it fits better in my pocket. While I like my Inc and its customability the Samsung wins hands down out for me.

It's the outdoor and noisy environment call quality that have an issue with. The slightest bit of wind, and it goes to ****. I was in a casino this weekend, and the person on the other could not hear me at all, and it was not that loud.

It is like there is no noise cancelling at all with the Fascinate.

I had a fascinate...yes, the call quality isn't the best, and the straw that broke the camels back was loosing a connection to data, daily. Nav doesn't work. get a droid, so glad I did.

Johnly, which Droid did you get?

I got the X. I think the D2 is good too. It does have a smaller screen, but that means better resolution. There are times when a keyboard is nice, not taking up screen realestate. I would avoid phones without google branding.

Definetely would take a HTC Dinc over any MOTO piece of crap, I hate Motorola!!
I still Preffer the Fascinate over everything though and haven't experienced
any issues with call quality... oh well.
With the 2150 HTC or 3500Seido battery on the Incredible, the life is excellent!

You hate MOT but you like a phone that has to have an extended battery to make it a day. Strange.

My dinc is fast as f*ck 43+mflops compared to any motorola they get about 20. My dinc has an awesome battery life WITH a stock battery, right now I'm at 4 and half hours of awake time and I've been unplugged for 30+ hours. Also all Motorola phones are butt ugly and lag like hell.

All in all, I think the DI still out performs the Fascinate. That said, I hope my next Incredible has a 4"screen. :)

I don’t like Moto for a whole bunch of reasons, but none that are material to the discussion. With that said, I would still buy the DInc over the Samsungs or Moto’s (and I did for my wife) because the overall experience of the DInc is just better. It’s more responsive, It works well, The screen may not be as nice as the S Class Samsung, but I will get updates and I will have a better overall phone.

I did root mine to get rid of the social nonsense and to enable wireless tether but I did not root my wife’s and hers works great with moderate usage. If you are a power user, you will have to get an extended battery with any current smart phone. The DInc with the the 3500 battery is a winner.

Just my 2 cents for what it’s worth.

The dinc is vzw's best overall performing phone that I have used . While its not perfect (what phone is ?) Its still the best I have yet to use.
