Returning the Nexus 4

You are entitled to your opinion, this is my observation from being active in both communities.

Your experience is your experience and is perfectly valid. I just question which communities you are talking about. There isn't just one place on the internet for iOS fans and one for android. Some forums/communities might be friendlier than others. Take a look at XDA vs AC for instance, very diff vibe.

If you meant the ENTIRE internet in your definition of communities I think you might be a bit overbroad in your sample size of personal experience. Not saying it is one way or the other as far as which side has more bile, just find it funny.

Wow, did not expect to get such big reaction. Relax people, really. Criticising some features of a device (or even the whole device) does not mean offending you.

After a week with the phone.
1) Love the OS even more. Very smooth and love the google apps.
2) wifi issue solved by switching to a different router. Apparently there was an incompatibility with the one I had (found several people online with Nexus 4 and that particular router who had the same issue)
3) rattling: does not bother me
4) buzzing. Does not overly bother me. What bothers me enough to return it, is call quality. This seems to be affecting several units, not just mine. And returning it does not seem to solve the issue. Before start offending me, please have a look here: Issue 39936 - android - Nexus 4 constant buzzing in earpiece - Android - An Open Handset Alliance Project - Google Project Hosting

Finally, people cannot be split between iOS and Android. I'd say if anything, they can be split between people who can enjoy the extra possibility to customise the phone and those who do not. I believe I belong to the first group. But I love any piece of technology that works. Love my iPad. Love my Android Gingerbread phone (minus the call quality buzzing sound).

Keep the discussion civil. By calling another member a troll, you are trolling as well and adding to the problem.

If your don't care for a thread, you have two options:

1. Simply move on

2. Hit the report button if you believe a post is inappropriate.

Thread has been cleaned up.

Rents - glad your N4 is growing on you. I have never experienced earpiece buzz or poor voice call quality and in fact, in the reviews I have read, the call quality is supposed to be quite good comparatively.

I would still suggest trying and RMA if you are getting buzzing. You don't send Google your old device until the new one arrives anyway.

jimrebello I considered asking for a replacement. But people keep getting devices with the same issue.
The risk is having to settle with something defective.
Hence tomorrow I will return the phone. Sadly
