I was very excited about this phone, but underwhelmed when in hand. Sticking with my HTC One and sent the N5 back. Anyone else?

Hey I really understand. After using the GNex and now the GS4 I too was questioning my Nexus Device excitement. I think that the Android OS has matured and reinventing the wheel is a little harder. I love everything about the Nexus 5. But I am just underwhelmed with the entire experience device and design of android. My GNex was a different story. New Device New Design of Android pure nostalgia....Not here with the N5 even though they are on most carriers. I think I may return and wait for a GPE One or GS4......IDK

I returned mine also, and using now my iPhone 5. In my case I felt a little bit of buyers remorse and (the power button was wabbling),do to the fact that my iPhone is working in prestige condition. But I'm amazed at the Nexus 5. Maybe also when google fixes the camera issue I would be more inclined towards the Nexus 5. Although the design may seem too simple it is still a great phone with all of oure google features.

I am likely to return mine as well. I liked a lot of things about the phone and kit Kat is great. My issue is other than the screen, the nexus 5 is not a significant improvement over my Droid Maxx. I also really miss trusted Bluetooth and the battery life of my Maxx. The phone is a great phone and I wish everyone the best of luck with it.

For those who root, I do not root. I love to but it is now against my employer contract if I want corporate email on my phone. So the that advantage of the nexus 5 is lost on me.

I probably will return mine too - or sell it. I prefer my One over it, primarily for the battery life, and I even prefer my Moto X Dev. Ed.. A great phone, but not better enough for me.

I had a problem connecting the Nexus 5 I returned with my car stereo. The brand of car stereo I have is a Kenwood KDC-BT648U. Note this model is doesn't have bt streaming, so I'm forced to connect my iPhone 5 via USB with no hitch each and every single time it connects and plays music, but with the Nexus 5 the stereo kept read device NA.

not completely positive but I think all android are like that. the USB connection doesn't support audio only data transfer and battery charge. Not sure the technical difference between the apple connection and a regular micro is or if its the way the memory on the phone is accessed . I have had iOS devices and androids with all kinds of stereos and all androids I have used with USB connection to stereo have been that way.

This is something worth Google looking over. Pretty soon I plan to upgrade to the Kenwood model that supports Bluetooth streaming, the BT652U, but in the meantime if I kept the Nexus 5 I was not going to be able to enjoy the very purpose for which I purchased this Kenwood stereo in the very first place for.

Interesting to see all the returns. I decided to get a N5 to try it out even with some mixed reviews coming in and I have to say I absolutely love it! Maybe because I wasn't expecting too much but for me so far it's all positive, yet to find any negatives.

Does goggle charge a restocking fee..??

what are there rules..

I am thinking of returning mine too ... my HTC ONE is still my go to device

I ended up returning my iPhone 5c in favor of the Nexus 5. :) Does that count? ;)

You should have kept your iPhone as a backup, that's what I did as I knew it was going to take some time testing the Nexus 5. Now if you returned the iPhone 5C, just wait for some update for google to fix the camera issue. I believe someone posted a link here from xda developers that they have a patch to fix the camera issue.

Any other minor problems you may have from google, you may consider an RMA. I'm still waiting for my RMA to reach them and see how much they are going to charge me for restocking.

Coming from an iPhone 4 I have to say that I am very impressed with the Nexus 5 and with KitKat. It is screaming fast and super customizable. I guess I got tired of the walled garden approach that Apple takes not to mention the price gouging. My only complaint so far is the lack of properly functioning voicemail icon on status bar at top of screen. It works on a power cycle but not after a missed call so once that is fixed I think I will be pretty much happy happy.

Why because somebody isn't obsessed with this phone? It's not perfect, nothing is and TC is asking a fair question.

The reason it may not work is the MTP connection most android phones use instead of mass storage mode from the older versions of android. There might be an app in the store that can mount a mass storage mode to make it work!

Looks like I'm going through the return process as well. I loved the phone, don't get me wrong, it's one of the best Android handsets I've used. The issue for me is squarely with battery life. It simply isn't good enough for me. Think I'm headed back to the Moto X. To be quite honest, it's a good problem that we have all these great choices in phones.

Thank you, I find this odd, give my iPhone 5 is only a USB stick in away. Either way I will soon upgrade my Kenwood stereo to the KDC-BT555U which has the new Bluetooth streaming AD2P protocol, no more need to have either a nexus or an iPhone tethered.
