I reviewed a Seidio ACTIVE Case last month and Seidio asked if I would review their Desktop Charging Cradle which I was more than happy to do.

Came home from work the other night and the box was in front of my door. Opened it up to find the charging cradle, a USB cable, and another little black attachment add on in case you want to charge phone naked without a case. I previously had an EVO 4G Seidio dock so I had the AC travel charger from that. But you can use your charger that came with your phone also. If you want just the dock and the USB it's (29.95) or you can pay 10 bucks more (39.95) if you want an extra AC travel charger. I let them know I didn't need the AC travel charger as I kept mine when I gave away my EVO 4G dock. So I got a dock and a USB charger and the attachment for if you want to dock phone without case.

I have the Seidio ACTIVE case, so right away I put the case on the dock and was amazed how it went right into the docking mode. ACTIVE case fits nice and snug and was so easy to attach and is so easy to take off. I thought it was much easier than my EVO 4G one and I loved how this went right into docking mode. This also fits the SURFACE case and the SURFACE case with a kickstand which I am buying next once it comes out in some more colors. But the ACTIVE case is also a great case.

The charger plugs into the back of the dock and you a little light on the back top where it says Seidio and of course you see the red light on your phone and know it's charging. Easy directions in the box show the smartphone attachment plate and let you know the plate is for use with a naked phone. When you remove the plate, the dock fits the ACTIVE, SURFACE, SURFACE with a kickstand, and Seidio Extended Life Batteries. Bottom of dock on each side has these rubber things to keep the dock from sliding around. I really like this product and feel it's worth the money

Dock feels nice in hand I pick it up sometimes and hold it portrait scrabble games don't turn and work in Landscape mode and my phone sits in there tight. This dock and the Active case make a great pair, especially if you don't want to have to take your case off each time to dock the phone. My case fits nice and snug and it just looks so cool sitting in the dock with the dock mode on. Did I mention it goes right into dock mode when you put the phone in the dock? I keep it sitting by my bed and I use my phone for an alarm and this come in handy. No picking up the phone to turn off alarm I just touch the screen and it's right there next to me. I highly recommend this dock! I give it 5 stars when paired with my ACTIVE.

Seidio's website lists all the cases this dock works with and has pictures of the dock also at the link here http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/bd2-crdhev3d.html

great review I have this dock and use it basically the same way and like it alot. Works fine with my kickstand case.

thank you so much for not only this review, but also for your active review.

I just got the evo3d on the 5th and wanted to buy at least an active case if not the kickstand one. but sadly noone had any seidio cases at the mall. I then find out once I got home that they had a 20% off promo going on and was going to order the active case with a screen saver and the dock. but you know what happens when you get a new phone...I wound up playing with it all night and by the time I remembered the promo code no longer worked. /cry

without that discount I might have to hold off for a month or so to get everything now. but I'm sure it will be worth the wait. I hear nothing but great things about seidio products and I'm glad you liked the dock.

Well you call them up and tell them what happened seriously and say to read 2 reviews from Rose on the internet forums and that you would love to order this this and this and will you honor the coupon code? They just might if your ordering enough stuff. I had a messed up Innocase II before where the purple was coming off and you could see black underneath and they gave me so much off and free shipping if I ordered at least 50 bucks worth of stuff and that is when I got my Active and dock for my EVO 4G. But I now want the kickstand case cause my friend has one and he loves it. And it works with all his Convert stuff he got from Sedio for reviewing.

thank you so much for not only this review, but also for your active review.

Rose, you're the best.
I'm going to call them on monday since they are closed for the weekend and see if they will help this cash straped fella out. I so want to try a bunch of their products out because they are the best.

off topic: I'm wondering if your name sugests that you come from Kentucky? I used to live in Radcliff back around 1987 through 1989. I loved it there so much that I'm thinking of moving back in 2 or 3 years. just think, I'm a city boy from NY who fell in love with the state and people, that I still miss it and think of my first and second derby everytime I watch it on TV. then there was this tiny place right off the highway that made the best buscits with gravy and unlimited pots off coffee. you can't even get that here in NY. now if you just felt like eggs, and you ask the waitress real nice, she will bring you some home made apple butter for your toast. yum, yum. lol
who needs dennys when you have a great southern resturaunt like that?

It will be cool if they do honor the 20% discount coupon because I missed the deadline by just 2 hours!!!

Yes I live in Louisville home of the Kentucky Derby! I go to the Oaks every year. I sent you a private message this morning. Been working all day just got home. I can't say for sure if they will honor the coupon but if you are getting a couple items not just one they just might.

well I did hear back from them, and was told that they can't honor a past promotion. yet I am now signed up to get emails with future promotion deals and was told that a new promotion is coming soon.

OMG, I used to hang out in Luisville every weekend. my main joint was the toy tiger...I'm sure it's no longer there or is under a new name by now. I also had a friend that lived about two blocks away form one of the collages. what a great little city it is. I sure do miss the blue grass state.
oh, I seem to not have gotten a PM from you...maybe it didn't get saved?

again, thanks for your help. I'll get the stuff soon I'm sure.

Yeah they wrote me too and said they would find you on here and can't honor past codes but new one coming soon. Toy Tiger was my hangout how funny! I used to love Fire Dept band. It's now a Thortons gas station and why the need for one one each corner no one knows. LOL!

a gas staition huh? what a shame. yeah, Luisville used to rock when I was in my 20s.
if I ever make it down there maybe I'll look you guys up and take in a ball game or something together. I forgot the name of the caves that are close to E-town but I'll bet some 3D photos would be great in there.

It did rock when I was in my 20's too! Toy Tiger was the placed to go.

hey, I didn't get an email yet, but in the 20% off thread someone just posted GRAB15 to get 15% off. I just ordered the burgandy active combo, the dock with power cord, and a crystal clear 2 pack. I saved like $15.00 so not too bad.

I got the email and was headed here to post it then I got a phone call and was on the phone for an hour. Glad you got it. The active is a great case and I love the dock.

Born and raised in Louisville.... Can't tell you what memories you just reminded me of with the Toy Tiger.... I haven't been back to home in a couple years but actually going next weekend with my 1 year old... And yes, the only thing i remember about that corner is why in the world did they put the same 2 gas stations on opposite corners, it's not like Louisville is ever that busy that you couldn't cross the street to the other one. I wonder if that ghetto Movie theater is still down the street....

I hope you have a great time at home. I can't tell you how much I miss that place. in fact, I miss all of KY realy bad.
the mountins, the blue grass, the small county restaurants, and let's not forget the best place to hang out...the toy tiger. it's such a shame that it's gone now. I used to take photos for a local rag called "river city rocks" (probably long gone now too). after going to many local shows , almost 50% of the time one or more of the rock stars would show up and grab a guitar from the band playing there and play a few songs.
what I also liked was if I went out with a girl who didn't like rock music, we could also go there and dance to house and R&B in the other room. (sorry guys, I'm not much into country music, but I did go into a bar once that had sawdust on the floor with a friend of mine. :p )

I do hope that in the future the housing market will turn around a bit, so I can sell my co-op apartment here in NY and then buy a small house close to E-town or Radcliff. or maybe someplace close to Lexington.

again, I hope your trip home will be a great one. :)

Thanks! I just saw where you were talking about a movie theater down the street from Toy Tiger. Are you referring to the Showcase Cinemas cause it's a parking lot now there all torn down. But I love my Seidio dekstop charging cradle. Sorry didn't want to stray to much off topic. It goes right into dock mode when you put it in the dock and works best with the Sedio Active Case.
