Rezound to Razr

It's not all horrible, it's just I'm incredibly OCD and like my devices to be perfect. lol The Droid Razr is still an amazing phone with a brilliant display as long as you aren't using it in dark areas with the brightness all the way down.

You should enjoy the Razr, its truly an amazing phone! I get comments every day about how thin it is! All my friends who have iPhones are envious of it because my battery life is on par with theirs, the display is better, 4G, etc and it manages to squeeze all that into an extremely anorexic body! I would just recommend a cheap case from Amazon because it seems the small metal strip under the camera gets scratched easy.

Thanks. I usually use TPU cases from Diztronic. I have them for my Bionic and Xoom.

I have had the razr since launch and couldn't be happier. The only downfall is battery life. I don't believe it is any worse than most devices out there, but running on 4g does go through it fast. The razr maxx is definitely the way to go if it's an option.
Usually I am always ready to upgrade to the latest and greatest, but haven't been tempted to spend the extra dollars this time around. I really love this phone. I could spend money for the maxx, but I bought a pocket charger instead and saved a few dollars. It works great and solves any issues with the battery..I don't switch between 3 and 4g to save on battery life, mine stays on the 4g.. 3g you will get a full day charge with no problems.

Battery life is definitely not spectacular but manageable and I love the super thin design! It's amazing how they fit all that tech inside :) But I was wondering if someone could help me, I was looking for a dock for my Razr and I found 2 different models from Motorola. They have the HD Dock and the HD Station. They look similar but the Station has 3 USB connectors on the back for charging / connecting other devices. Is it worth the $15 extra dollars for those connectors? Also the Station says it comes with an HDMI cable but some reviewers are saying they did not get the cable in the box, has anyone bought one that can confirm it is there?

Thanks! :)

I've found that battery life is much better after the ICS update. I don't even use Smart Actions anymore.

I believe you are correct, the only difference is the inclusion of the USB ports in the HD Station. Personally I spent the extra because I have a wireless keyboard and mouse I will be using and don't want to spend the money on a bluetooth keyboard. Also I saw in the video it appears you can plug in flash drives which is nice. I ordered mine off amazon, should be here wednesday. I will let you know if there is the HDMI cable included or not. It clearly states it is included so I will be writing angry emails if its not.

Thanks! I think I've decided that I'm just going to order the standard HD Dock (only $20 on Amazon) with a $3 Motorola HDMI Cable and I found a bluetooth mouse on Amazon for $9 that is supposed to work with Android devices. So for under $35 I will have a full desktop like interface! The Razr is putting my old Rezound to shame!

And don't forget, the HD dock also turns the RAZR into an awesome alarm clock. I wake up to it every morning.

Same here. I actually went with the HD Station since I have a wireless mouse and keyboard. Same cost I think.

Ya putting the Rezound to shame. Dev community of the rezound was nice but the Razr is much better to me.

Ok, I'm on the fence but I think this is what I'm gonna get
1) HD Station
2) 6ft. HDMI cable for Droid Razr (the station says one comes included but a lot of reviews say it doesn't come in the box)
3) Wireless mouse (only $2 with free shipping)
4) Cimo S-Line TPU Case

All of this and the order is just over $50. Not bad for products that will essentially give me a whole new computer!

Ya not bad. Mine should be in tomorrow. My only concern at this point is having to give up the otterbox defender. Really like the defender but I'm pretty sure it won't fit. I do have the shell holster and found in the verizon store it does fit with that case.

I was thinking about an Otterbox case but I had one for the Thunderbolt and I hated it! Too big and bulky, weird to hold and just plain ugly so for now I think I will stick with a gel like cover. But lets be honest here, the Droid Razr is made to take a beating so any case added on top is just overkill!

Lol I just made a post in the accessories forum regarding the Thunderbolt Defender. I said how different the Razr defender is from other defender cases. You should check one out in the store, you will be impressed.

Just sad to me though because I just got my HD station in, can't use the defender with it.

Did you get an HDMI cable in the box with the station? I just ordered my station and after reading the review I decided to just order an extra one just in case (The one I ordered is a 10ft long HDMI to Razr HDMI with Ethernet for only $2.00 with free shipping!!!) I can't wait to get mine in and if this works good, I might have to order the standard dock (the one without the USB ports) to use as an alarm clock because I've got a feeling that using the web dock on my TV is gonna be addicting! It's definitely gonna make my Apple TV collect some dust!

Yes I did get the HDMI cable. It wasn't the OEM box but it came with everything stated. Ordered from Prundanish or something like that on amazon. I actually sent it back, while it works well I just simply don't have a need for it. Also want to use my otterbox

Thanks for all the info!
Just one more question :)
Today I signed into MyVerizon to see how much data I have used this month and when I signed in on my computer it showed my device as being the Droid Razr 32GB but the phone Verizon sent out as a CLN device is only a 16GB. I put an extra 32GB microSD card in it but that shouldn't show up. Should I call Verizon and ask or just forget about it?
