Rezound vs One Series

I am really impressed with where HTC is going with the One Series. Personally it seems like the Rezound was a stepping stone between the old and new HTC lines of phone.

The Rezound specs still stack up pretty good against the One Series, but we still have the removable battery and sd card.

Anybody else like what you see from HTC?

As long as they continue to have SD card slots and a removable battery on 75% of their phones they are heading in a good direction.

The One is nice but like you said, the spec match up with the rezound pretty well. I would have expected more out a new phone...the true comparisons will have to wait though until ICS and S4 come out for us, then we shall see....

The one series is awesome, but I'm happy I got the rezound. Removable battery and sd, plus the screen is better than the one s. I am however very jealous of the s4 processor:(

Many will disagree, but I think the one x is too big just like the nexus is. My personal opinion is that a phone with a 4.3" screen and little to no bezel would be perfect size. Basically a rezound with a smaller footprint. I can't stand these ridiculously huge tablet-like phones.

I'll need to play with One S/Inc HD before passing a judgement on it. However, I like what they did w/ the One X but the lack of a removable battery and no ext_sd, will send me elsewhere if the trend continues and a variant works it's way onto a VZ shelf. I don't care how hard Google wants to steer oems away from removable storage w/ their future OS builds. I enjoy partitions in my phone memory, so they can count me out. I'll stick to the harware features I like on my phones even if I have to depart carrier to get it.

I'd like to see HTC learn how to manage multiple SD cards. The internal/external SD slots screw up most novices and it doesn't manage application data properly(storing on internal vs external). So if anything they could certainly do that one thing a bit better in their newer phones.

Makes sense, our phones are a small computer so they should have some of their benefits and strengths

I am on the fence. After reading a few reviews its encouraging to see htc give a bigger battery but maybe more importantly make sure that the phone itself manages power better.

I am not afraid of just an internal storage but I would like more than 16gb.

I am not thrill about a battery we have no input on. If the beefed it up to a 3300mA and make it an efficient machine I can live with it.

I don't believe the phone at&t is putting out will be the same phone Verizon will get. If so I will probably wait for the next round of phones.

I guess I am a bit on the fence about the SD slot. If they gave me 120GB, I guess I would be ok without having one. I think 64, for right now, might be enough as well. 16-32 doesn't cut it...even with 5 here and there in cloud storage.

non removable small battery is a no-no for me. if it had a battery like the maxx then i would consider it.

yeah that one is a total non starter for me. I would really have to love EVERYTHING else about the phone, even if the battery is the size of the Maxx

At least we know the HTC Incredible 4G LTE will have a removable battery and microsd.

Personally I prefer the EVO 4G LTE. I think the combination of the energy-efficient S4 processor and larger battery will off-set the fact the battery will be non-removable. Plus you still get the SD card slot, kickstand, and dedicated camera button lacking on the One X. Sounds like a perfect blueprint for a Rezound 2 or Thunderbolt 2.

Sure does but they've got a 180 day exclusive on it (from the d.o.r.) before any variant can hit a shelf elsewhere. So that's kinda tough for those who would be holding out for a similar release. We could see the 5' One series phone released before a (proper)Tbolt 2 followup.

I am very disappointed in the lack of removable battery. It's the worst iPhone feature to copy, yet HTC is doing it.

Glad to see Sammy's latest release has a swappable battery.

If the trend continues, this will be my last HTC.

I hear ya. Maybe we get a group rate on that departing flight if there dumb enough to not hear this demographics wants and needs on future models. Hope VZ sticks w/ the Inc HD setup on their future HTC offerings or I'm calling a travel agent.

I agree, can't stand the idea of a nonremovable battery, unless it's the size of the one in the Maxx. At least with the iPhone there are accessories, like cases, with built in batteries.

How many people that have issues with an integrated battery actually carry an extra battery with them to swap out?

Is one of those portable battery chargers a suitable substitute for an extra battery? (I don't know because I dont have issues getting my phone on a charger.

I hate to say this but most likely we will be having most of the phones with integrated batteries.

I am fine with a integrated battery under the following conditions though.

1.) Minimum 3500 mA. (They will need that for 4G and the screen)

2.) They straighten out power management so I do not "need" to tweak my phone for better performance.

3.) Don't F it up.

I have an extra standard battery I carry with me on the weekends. With my Thunderbolt I carried and an extra standard and an extended battery if I knew I wasn't going to be close to a charger.

I have 3 extended batteries. I always carry an extra around every day.
