Rezound Wnt Charge! Help!

My HTC Rezound has always been a little iffy on the battery side. No matter what i did, the battery would usually day 3 quarters of the way through the day. I learned to accept this. My problem now is that the phone died after being run down to 0% and when i try to charge it back up, all i get is a blinking orange light and the phone will not start up. I have tried removing the battery. I even left it charging for 3 days and it still wont charge up enough to boot up the phone. Does anyone have any idea what's going on and how I can fix it?

Are you rooted? Have ClockWorkMOD installed as a recovery? If yes, that's your problem, if no, then it could just be your battery.

I am rooted s-off but don't have Clockworkmod. I have Amon Ra recovery installed instead.

Does holding power and volume down at the same time do anything? If you can't get to the bootloader, then you could be hosed, but for sure will need to ask at xda, there are some unbricking methods someone smarter than me should be able to go over with you.

Hardly the best answer, but it will work.

CWM recovery had this as a known issue, but Amon Ra has not... so it is either the phone, battery, or charger itself and the latter two are the easiest to verify. Try a different charger (one with at least 1000ma output, not a PC or USB device) or a different battery.

I'm not a rooter, anymore, but I take it you don't have an external charger or extra battery of any kind? I've seen this before, if you've already been having charge issues and now it will not charge from zreo, believe it or not it is probably your plug. Even though you get the amber light as if it is charging I would wager it's the plug. Change cables or chargers, or try charging from the car, with a different cable of course. Charging from an external charger would be the best, and it would likely help with your lack of charge condition. I may be wrong but I think it's just coincidence that it happened when you ran the battery to zero, or it may have been the deciding factor, but either way I think you need a new cable.
