Ridiculously low notification sounds?

Just me, or is notification sounds really really low compared to that beep you get after holding the volume rocker until its all the way up.

Some of the sounds are low. I had to pick one that sounded louder to me. You could also download and use zedge and pick a notification sound from there. Sometimes they have some loud ones on there.

The one I have set currently sounds really loud when I play it regularly...

Wait. Is your notification volume all the way up? Your regular ringtone volume is probably all the way up. You have to go into settings>sound to check the volume levels on your notifications, media, system and ringtone.

The volume levels for your notfications, ringtones, and system are set separately under Settings/Sounds. I noticed this same "problem" until I went back into settings and reset the notifications volume.

The ones that came on the phone were too low for me. I drive a big truck, so I just copied a few that I used to use with my BB.

thanks for the setting tip guys. you have to use the rocker once in there.....

I downloaded some and used nero wave editor to increase db gain and volume a little. Any editor will do the same.
