ringer problems with froyo

So, ever since the PTA, my ringtones and notifications sound changes everytime I power off the phone. It gets irritating to change it back EVERY time I turn it on. I charge the phone powered off as it helps reduce bump charging, and my work has real low signal causing excessive battery drain, so I use a spare battery. I can't stand having to change my tones back every time. Anyone else have this problem? Also, I use the app profiles by I am josh. Wondering if it plays nice with froyo.
