My Vibrant ringer is really quiet for 2 seconds when I get a call. The caller ID pops up and I see the contact but for the first 2 seconds my ringer is VERY quiet. After the 2 seconds it goes loud and stays loud but I have a mp3 ringer and its kinda annoying when the begining of it gets cut off.

Anybody else having this bug or know a fix for it?

I noticed the sane thing today when I received a call. I'm sure there are more people that have noticed this problem.

i dont think its a bug/problem. from what i remember, most phones do that. my old blackberry did the same thing, so did my old ericcson. i think its to prevent any type of hearing trauma if you happen to have your ringer on the loudest settings. imagine having it on your night stand by your bed and someone calling you while youre sleeping, im sure a ringer at full output wouldnt be the most comfortable sound to your ears.:p

My Blackberry never did it, my MT3G or MT3GS never did it, I think it's to "warn" you there is a call coming in. Imagine being in church or a meeting or somewhere quiet like a library and forgeting to put the phone on silent mode... At least this way you don't get a full blast ringer for a couple seconds so you can hit the power button to silence it. Never thought of this till now!

I think it is there purposely, if you get a call while you're web browsing you don't get the blast of sound, so you just pick it up instantly, no issue for me

Mine does this as well. I'm not a fan. I keep mine in my pocket and don't always hear that first ring.

Hahaha. This just reminds me of the times when I forgot to silence my phone during classes. Therefore, I kind of like it when the ringer is "quiet" for a short few seconds before it's on "full blast."
