Ringtone Issues

I have had my Incredible for about a month now and still can figure out this issue. I'm hoping someone out there can help. I have set separate ringtones for contacts, texts, vm and notifications (facebook, etc.) All of my ringtones work properly except the vm one. When I receive a vm it plays the notifications ringtone. I thought that maybe it was seeing the vm as a notification but if that is true than why can you set separate ringtones for each? Does anyone know how to correct this? In case you need the info - the vm ringtone was sent by selecting messages - vm - menu - settings. The text ringtone was set the same way as the vm except i was in the main text message screen. Notifications were set by selecting all programs - settings - sound & display
