Ringtone resets back to AT&T default on Note 7

I just got my Note 7 from AT&T last week. For the most part it's working fine. The main issue I've ran into is that every time I change the main rington, after a restart (or sometimes just randomly) it just resets back to the default AT&T Firefly ringtone. I change it again and then it resets again. So annoying. I tried to set it to a few different ringtones, but it keeps going back to the default. The ringtones are stored in the Ringtones folder on the device not on my SD card, to eliminate the possibility with any SD card issues.

Couple other issue is my battery life isn't great, this morning it was down to 80% before I even had breakfast, and I definitely can't get it to last all day with marginal use, seems most of the battery is beign used by the Android System and Android OS. I wish there was a way to find out what's actually draining the battery.

Lastly I've been getting a strange pop-up a lot about "Screen Overlay Detected" and it takes me to a settings page, where I turned it off for all the apps, yet I still get the pop-up sometimes. Makes no sense.

AT&T an Samsung support both just want to exchange it under warranty, but I bet if I exchange it I'll have the same issues, plus there is no way to back up the home screens and all the folders I've setup for apps that took hours.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! You're not alone: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...-note-7-keeps-reverting-default-ringtone.html. It's not just AT&T either--there are reports of this annoying issue with Verizon Note7's as well.

Regarding the battery, it would help to see some battery stats. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.
