Ringtone trimmer. Where is this

I notice when i go to Manage applications. i see ringtone trimmer, but when i go to look for it i cant find it no where. i stumbled across it when i first got the phone but i cant find it.. i need to trim my tones. cuz ihave full songs playing for a text message..

Select the song you want to trim while in music player and tap "Menu", then select "Set as ringtone". A pop up menu opens and select the last option, "Trim the ringtone" and whalah!

When I do this, it will revert back to the stock ringer whenever I plug it in to charge it or plug it in to the computer. Any ideas?

get ringdroid from the marketplace. it's fantastic and a little bit brilliant. once you edit your file (ridiculously easy to do) you save a separate version as a ringtone

it's because you are mounting the location (either an sd card or the phone memory) on your computer so the phone has no access to it when it rings, and thus defaults back to the default ringtone.

you can either not mount the card/storage when you plug it in (choose charge only in the notification bar)

or you can download some apps in the market that let you dual mount. i can't think of the names off the top of my head though.

Shouldn't it work once it unmounts then? Also when I plug my charger in I get the same issue even though I have it set up to charge only anytime the usb is plugged in

yes, it should work once unmounted.

i'll use an mp3 for my ringtone to see what happens. lately i've just been using a stock ringer.

I know I used this on my phone before, now it no longer shows the option when I play a song, just shows Phone Ringtone, and Contact Ringtone, I want to edit and trim my ringtone before I set it. How do I get this option back?

I used to use the trimmer all the time, but also notice it's now gone... Did they take this option away?

Edit: Nevermind... They let you trim MP3's you added, but music downloaded from iTunes, M4A for example, an't be trimmed...

I believe RingDroid will allow you to trim protected tracks.
