Ringtone Volume question.

Hi guys I have a OnePlus 6t that I bought from T-Mobile but used the XDA conversion that doesn't require an unlock to do. The issue I am having is that my volume slider for ringtone only goes to a certain point and won't go any further. I have restarted the phone a few times and nothing. I really don't want to do a factory reset if I don't have to. I was trying to lower it one more level so my texts are a little quieter but it won't go past this point. I am going to try to attach a picture if that doesn't work I will share a link to it.

I am able to turn the volume up but not down past this point.

So you try with your finger in that screen shot and wont move ? How about with the volume buttons same?

It will move to a higher volume with my finger but not lower. The volume buttons only control the media volume. That is the lowest on the slider it will go for ringtone volume.

I dont have my 1+6 on me until later , but I think there is a button to disable media volume with the buttons in settings

Ok I checked mine , do you have the alert slider on ? If it's off or silent cant move the volume it stays locked

No I have it set to ring. The slider moves but won't go any lower than where it is at in that screenshot.

If I move the slider to vibrate or ring it doesn't allow any adjustment as it is a white circle in the all the way down position. It is very weird

It is strange , you can try safe mode see if it still happens.

So either a factory reset will fix this or need send phone for warranty, sucks but need to determine if something wrong with the phone.

Yeah, mine is same just got the March update it wasn't like that before

This is probably considered a feature since a lot of people accidentally turn ring volume off, don't notice it and then miss calls. They probably figure with the slider you can intentionally turn ring sound of easily.

Finally i know I'm not alone. Have this exact issue since the last OTA update.

Really annoying as i can't silence WhatsApp sounds.

Did you ever find a solution?
