ringtones?

is it possible to set ringtones with music you downloaded? if so how.....

Sure. First you must edit the song to the proper size (usually about 20-30mbs). Then just put it in the phone. There are several methods for doing this. I made a lot of ringtones which i put on my desktop. Then i set the Vivid up as follows. Settings>Connect to PC>Default Connection Type>Disk Drive. Plug the phone into the computer, and wait for the TWO drives to appear on your home screen. One will say HTC Storage, the other will say No Name. Rename the no name one, and drag all your ringtones into that one. Eject both of those drives, unplug your phone, and you're good to go. I have two folders made up. One i call "notifications", for the shorter tones, and the other is "ringtones", for the longer ones. Good luck!:)

Download Ringdroid from the Market. I prefer using it and the mp3s are edited and set all from the phone. You will just have to play around with the waveform of the song, zooming in and out and scrolling left and right to find the optimal section you'd like to use. Don't be intimidated by it, it just looks that way. It is actually way easy.
