I did a factory reset on my device and lost all data (I knew what I was doing just giving back story). Hexage is a great dev that is developing games for Android first and than releasing the game a few months later for iOS. So I donated the 3 bucks to them from the app, which gives these in game coins in return. So after I reinstalled Robotek HD and not seeing the coins I didn't really mind, just wondered if for those in the future who donate or just buy the donate thing for the coins and have to or just want to reset their device, aren't sol.
So I received a response veuy quickly which impressed me saying that Hexage has two types of in game purchases. Consumable and non-consumable. Consumable meaning they won't be restored nice app is reinstalled. And really why should it be, its a donation, but there are some who i'm sure would be bummed out that this is the case and to those buying the coins or whatever understood what they were buying. But I love Hexage and what they are doing for the platform is great, so I didn't mind. I just feel that it should be documented for others.
I asked in an email why it doesn't sync with a server or something. I was refunded the money (which wasn't what I was asking and I promptly sent the money right back), and got a followup email from Hexage saying they are implementing a cloud based server storage but its still in the works and will take time. So take that as you will.
So in short this was not meant to be a slight on Hexage at all, just a fyi to those thinking about the coin thing in Robotek HD.
