Nice work.

Google Play Movies works but does not display HD toggle.

Selecting effects FCs the video camera.

Re: [ROM][4.1.1]AOSP *NEW* AffinitySERIES v1.0 Jelly Bean [Beta 1

A couple of questions/thoughts...

1. Does the SMS popup work with Google Voice?

2. All of the ROMs want to make a big deal about lock screen mods. But I don't know a single person that doesn't use either pattern lock or PIN lock (rightly so, an unprotected phone is silly) but nobody ever makes any mods for those types of lock screens. That would be a breakthrough worth talking about.

3. I use CNA. Tons of features. It'd be nice to see what features your ROM includes that sets it apart from other ROMs that include tons of features. It's a crowded market and it requires work to try out a new ROM. A newcomer needs to convince us why they are worth the effort. Most of us are "settling in" on a ROM and it's gong to get harder and harder to unseat the incumbents. Just my 2 cents worth.

I agree with #2. I never get why they never do that with a pin lock or pattern. Please incorperate that into your ROMs. I would never leave my phone unprotected so those features are useless and I'd like to use them.

I think its great that there are newer ROMs. Settling on a ROM is boring.:-) I was about to flash Paranoid but figured I would try this instead. I am coming from themed BAMF with Franco kernel and I think I am going to try this as is. The customization is nice but sometimes it can be overload.

So far I am liking this ROM even though I have only been running it a couple hours. I will be eager to see what comes.

Thanks to the devs.

I understand what you're saying. And I agree. But I like lots of features in the ROM. It reduces my need to find and download apps that do the same thing. I like 5 buttons in the navigation bar. There are lots of things that a feature rich ROM I like that makes my life easier.

I'm not opposed to trying out a new ROM but I don't want to take a step backwards. When a ROM developer tells me they have "tons of features" that doesn't tell me anything. What it means is that I have to download the ROM, and spent hours looking at every nook and cranny of the ROM to see what features are in there. That's a drag.

Just make a simple list of ALL the features in the ROM. Leave nothing out. Then I can make an intelligent decision as to whether it's worth my time to give it a shot.

Pleased to see Mr Hellman is a part of your team. Great themer; adored his Nexus Plus theme (I believe that's what it was called) for the longest time.

This is B.S.. Just when I settle into a ROM and think I have my crack flashing is under control, something new comes out. I am not addicted. I don't have to try it.

I mean its OK, right? To just try it out.

Re: [ROM][4.1.1]AOSP *NEW* AffinitySERIES v1.0 Jelly Bean [Beta 1

Anyone else having problems with Google now closing all of a sudden?

Re: [ROM][4.1.1]AOSP *NEW* AffinitySERIES v1.0 Jelly Bean [Beta 1

was trying to set up google now, and under the "privacy and accounts" tab under settings, when i tap on manage location settings i get "unfortunately, google search has stopped. any ideas of how to "fix" this?

Re: [ROM][4.1.1]AOSP *NEW* AffinitySERIES v1.0 Jelly Bean [Beta 1

issue resolved, i did not have google maps installed on galaxy nexus.

For those questioning battery life here are a few pics of my first day's results. I have a 2100 mAh battery and used WiFi most of this. I have nothing more than what the ROM came with. I decided I wanted to try this ROM as is, without kernel changes or theme additions. Really pleased with these results.

Re: [ROM][4.1.1]AOSP *NEW* AffinitySERIES v1.0 Jelly Bean [Beta 1

Thank you all for the feedback! We truly appeciate it.

One thing that will surely set us apart is we are going to stay with AOSP as our base along with more original code of our own vs pulling in from other teams. Not to say you won't see some of the requests make it in, we also have our users in mind :) . .*Features yet to be seen anywhere else* Now I cannot let all these plans out of the bag of course as they are not fully complete and we are only on beta 1!!.. but you shall see them as soon as possible!.

Lastly what you will find in AffinitySERIES vs some of the others is the pride we take in trying to make sure we hear each and everyone of you. We take if very seriously to hold ourselves at a high level of professional conduct to the best of our abilities, yet for the user, giving respect and none the less a fast, stable, and intuitive ROM ) I hope that helps, and thank you!

Just flashed the unnamed theme from JayR. It looks good. Definitely worth checking out. It's over at Rootz.

Re: [ROM][4.1.1]AOSP *NEW* AffinitySERIES v1.0 Jelly Bean [Beta 1]

Hello all,
I wanted to give you all a brief update on where we are at the moment. I do apologize I haven't been around the last couple days (New baby girl keeps me busy) and most of our staff has been on vacation and weddings, very odd week for us! Anyhow guys/gals, we most certainly are still fully involved and fully moving our progress forward. We have been tackling bugs and adding a few features. Beta2 is aimed to be more stable with more enhancement, only another small notch of our plans, but we all love flashing the latest and greatest we have to offer, so we will provide just that :)

We never like giving ETA's as it has been discussed before simply because this is Android and it always can throw us a loop. We never want to make an ETA promise to our users we cannot adhere too, we would rather give it to you straight. You all are the reasons we are here!! With that said, we are hoping for Beta 2 by the end of the work week, just a timeframe with no promises. But like many have said, we set our goals high and intend to release something we feel is a great step up vs letting it go out in a bad manner, that just would not fit ADA's mission:)

Thank you all for being so kind, thank you all for your support to our team and the other members of this commmunity.!!

We are very happy to have a great community!

Congrats on the new baby girl, beta 1 has been extremely stable for me so no hurry, life is more important than a ROM. For most of us it is anyway.
