ROM alternative/bonus

Hi my name is piizzadude and I am a flash a holic....

I broke today. I said i wasnt gonna flash this puppy until ICS came out, but I had time to kill.

I flashed the brand new version of ICS with S4 from Team BAMF: [ROM] 5/6 The HTC Rezound is evolving...Team PkmN - Venasaur Rom v3.0.0 - xda-developers

A few issues with flashing, but they were all me (firmware). Nice clean and smooth. Tons of tweaks. Cannot talk about battery life because it is brand new.

Word of warning, you have to be patient with it for the first 1/2 hour. Animations need to be turned off, and that can be a pain, because it isn't totally ironed out with S4 on our phones.

Got a bonus though. The ROM is based off the One X. Some of the new features are in there, some are still being worked out.

One thing I did get was the Dropbox bonus space for the next 2 years......not too terrible...

Only reason I haven't tried this rom is the lack of bluetooth support. I drive way too far every day to not have it

I've been on lllboredlll's RezROM S4 for about 2 weeks now and was running the 1.3beta up until last night. When I installed the RezROM S4 I also got the additional Dropbox upgrade (Mixed feelings as I kinda feel like I'm stealing it)

I like the direction Sense 4 is taking and I really didn't have any of the reboots and stuff that other people were having. I was tempted to try out the Pkmn ROM but just haven't gotten around to it. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before I take a run at the Pkmn ROM...oh who am I fooling, I'll give it a try tonight. I understand some people don't care for the theme but that's fixed easily enough.

When you say "Firmware" issues what firmware are you talking about? I'm on the ICS leak from 2 months ago, not the last one, the one before that.

I ended up restoring back to my RezROM Sense 3.6 last night though because there are some features that I use alot that are missing from Sense 4. One being the tweak to turn off the capacitive lights altogether (in fact pizzadude you helped me with the script install to dim them on S4, my XDA name is Vref as for some reason Wanda was already taken)

@Wanda--Glad I could help with that! No I was still on the old firmware as I was stock up until last night. My issue was that I was installing things in the wrong order to start with. My bad totally for not reading the instructions.....I didn't expect the extra space so i sorta know how you feel, but i also am pretty sure that unless I go backup crazy I will not go over the 5 gigs or whatever they initially give you. Nice to know it is there just in case though.

@Mr. Smith, that is the one thing I actually don't need in a phone so it never bothered me. Either my ears or my attitude keeps me from using those things. I just use speakerphone...
