[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

It looks like they have been working hard on the WiMax EVO stuff. Not much in last night's or tonight's as of yet that seems relevant to us or big enhancements in general. Hopefully over the weekend, but I’m sticking with 6 for now.

Anyone play with the new lock screens, Battery indicator or the text msg char count?
I have been through every aspect of the CM nightlys... am I missing something... I like the rotary style of the lock screen the best out of the 4 options, I also set the text msg char count to ..... BUT where is the ability to change the battery indicator?

Thank you very much...has anyone tried rc1 or recommend that i keep the nightlies?
Personally I like nightly #6... Honestly I think it is just as stable as 4 or 5 and the RC1 ... I think it is a personal choice... also I have been told to be careful because flashing can be addicting and they were right :)

Thank you sir... I am a quick learner when I have good teachers and the best forums (android central) for help :) and to be honest, I would like to learn as much as possible so I too can help other people.

What do you mean exactly by "laggy"... what is it doing... I have used LP and haven't noticed a difference other than perhaps icons and themes.

it takes a second for widgets to load sometimes...also when going from portrait to landscape i get a bit o lag...dont know if its just me or not

RC1 is just a stake in the ground saying, "This is where we are. We think it's pretty good and now we're moving forward." Nightly improvements are still being made. It's not a function of stability as much as it is a declaration of "We are at this point." There are bugs in RC 1 that are fixed in build #1 (Rotary Lock Screen image ghost is an example) and there have been camera improvements since RC1. I would keep your options open. Keep an eye on this thread and when the features become good enough to re-flash, then go for it.

EDIT: OK wow I'm late - this is in response to the RC1 question about 6 posts back. That's what I get for watching a movie and not refreshing! ;)

I knew what you meant lol...just trying to figure out if I should wipe and totally reflash to see if it helps adw lag at all...also the action buttons have disappeared a few times and it took an adw reset to fix...this a common thing?

I haven't noticed a difference other than amazing battery life with chads kernel in the OP (changed to 128 'screen off' and 921 'screen on'), in fact I think it is the same as stock 2.2, but could just be me... The only thing I figured out was the speed at which you can open the app drawer

ADW-> drawer settings -> check the box for animated drawer and change your zoom effect speed.

Just double checking, I only have to wipe cache and dalvik cache going from RC#6 to #7?
You do not have to do a complete wipe between the nightlies. But a dalvik wouldn't hurt every so often... one thing I have noticed is that i have to reflash any specific kernals between upgrading between the nightlies. Just thought u or anyone else reading and keeping up with this great thread (thank you Crondable) would like to know.

OK so I did a wipe and new install of latest nightly and the adw launcher is much smoother now

I usually wipe both the cache and dalvik cache between nightlies it doesnt take long to do just to make sure of ;) its worth it to me ha .
I always have to reflash the Incredikernel kernel whenever I flash a nightly since thats the prefered kernal(over the stock kernel) for me .
