ROM issues need help!!

I've rooted my galaxy s3 sch-i535 from verizon with towelroot, and have flashed slimkat 4.4.2 with safestrap multiple times before it actually worked. However, there is no display on the screen but the hardware buttons work just fine. If I swipe correctly it even unlocks! I'm not sure what to do honestly. I've cleared cache and delvak multiple times.. Any help would be appreciated!!

Flash the stock ROM. If that works, it's something with Slimkat. (You don't root the stock ROM and then replace it. You're replacing the work you did in rooting it.)

When you turn it on, do you get Safestrap coming up? Can you get into Safestrap? Did you make a backup of the stock ROM (you should have, then you should have installed Slimkat to Slot 1, just to see if it works - if it didn't you could boot back into Safestrap and switch back to the stock slot.)

I restored back to stock from a backup, I'm not sure if that is the same as it would be flashing the ROM or not.
Yes, Safestrap comes up each time I boot, but I did happen to install Slimkat on the stock slot, but I'll see if it works on a ROM slot or not.

No dice, still lacks display and is a plain black screen.
