FYI: There is a HOW TO video for installing this ROM along with CW3 on my blog as well. Look on the Android Development page. Please keep in mind that the ROM being flashed in this video is not the v2.7 but the process is the exact same. Also I skipped the wipes prior to flashing to save time.

Installed the 4.1 update over 3.3 (?)....everything went smoothly, with no hiccups and took about 5 minutes total, with most of that displaying the boot screen.

....that was about 15 minutes ago. All settings are still there, so far at least. Transitions are quick and smooth.

....no issues thus far! ...but I'll let ya know if I find anything!

I'm currently on 3.3. Do I install 4.0, then 4.1? Or can I go directly to 4.1? Do I have to wipe?

Also, it notes that auto rotate is broken. Does 4.1 correct this?

Please confirm that this is working on DK28/EXT4/CWM3.

I followed the instructions and started with a freshly odin'd EB13 with root and CWM3. Then flashed 4.0, then the Upgrade package, then v4.1.

You will have screen rotation but to flash anything you need to shutdown and reboot with the ancient chinese 3-finger death grip method.

You have to upgrade to Froyo EB13

OK so I'm now on EB13 and upgraded to 4.1. I have noticed that my Facebook App is not updating to 1.5.1. I am stuck on 1.5 & can not update.
I keep getting an error msg. "Package file was not signed correctly."

Any ideas where this could have come from?? I tried to uninstall it but am unable to. I want to Settings>Apps; I also tried to uninstall thru the Market with no luck.

Download the SDK App Remover and you can delete the app manually that way and then download the newest from the Market.

List: Stock Apps and their .apk files (for removal)

Look for Facebook1.5.apk (or simliar name FacebookXXX.apk) and remove.

That should do the trick.

Just upgraded to EB13 last night... was perfectly happy with DK28 other than battery life, and MidNIGHT 3.3... but speaker crapped out and they decided to just replace the entire phone... ended up spending the evening doing the full upgrade and am now on MidNIGHT 4.1 with the appropriate patches and fixes... have to say it's extremely smooth, from what I can tell, better on the battery... only thing I have not tried so far is GPS, but screen rotation works, camera works, no recurring force closes... so far a really great ROM...

Thanks so much. After buying Root Explorer, I still couldn't find the apk file. I had to search for ".apk" & sift through all my apk files to find it. It was listed as FBAndroidxxx.apk. After rebooting, I was able to download.

Glad you found it.. BTW, the purchase on Root Explorer was worth it. After a while you will find its very useful. You can do just about anything with it, rename , delete, install/uninstall, zip files directly from your device its a great application to have in your phone when your rooted and playing with files all the time.

Sorry if this was posted somewhere already, but does anyone on MidNIGHT know where the patch is to remove SMS mssgs from the call log? It's getting really annoying and I don't recall this happening on the prior few builds... Thx
