In answer to your question here...

Flash the old version ".5" back, then open the ".6" version using Root Explorer/ES File Explorer/Astro and goto the /system/app folder and delete the Clock.apk or ClockPackage.apk and save and then flash the ".6" version without wiping and that should give you ".5" clock.

Too many steps.. but you did give me an idea so THANKS !! I just extracted the apk and it installed like a normal app and then I used the SDX removal app to delete the old clock and all is well.. The alarm woke me up this morning just fine.

What is it in particular that you like about this ROM? And what others have you tried?

i LOVE the battery life improvement. I leave the phone on for like 15 hours and the battery's still at 70% after a full charge.

This is at 1.0.7 now ... and I have to agree ... I have been using this rom since 1.0.3 and am enjoying every release. I have tried viper Rom / Epic Rebirth and Bonsai, this is by far the most stable and most professional feeling release I have worked with.
