ROM Suggestion

Hey guys, I'm going to root and install a ROM on my brother's Fascinate this weekend. He really wants to de-Bing bad He's not very tech savvy, so I need a stable ROM with minimal bugs and no compatibility problems with other apps. Looking for a small bump in speed without the voodoo lag fix. Anybody with ROM experience please chime in - advice is much appreciated.

I have it personally and it works great, the only thing you might miss about it is the stock music player. But i hear you can get it back. You can download the ROM and the non-voodoo kernel using CWM ROM Manager, it'll give you some other options too. Anything else you might want to know about the ROM might have been covered in the other thread.

I'm also running JT's ROM and its been super reliable. Much faster and and better battery life.

The one thing I don't like is the inclusion of ADW Launcher vs.Launcher Pro.

Yeah, i've noticed probably 15-20% better battery life too. And i agree ADW Launcher shouldn't be the default launcher.

Thank God i had LP+ already so i just put it back on.

JT's is probably one of the best rom's right now (second going to deodexed)

LP vs ADW is a personal preference, but it's simple enough to drop one for the other.

JT's is really nice. The only thing for me was the lack of the stock music player due to the drop down while in lock screen (I drive a lot and I really liked that feature) but that is easily remedied with the deodexed version of the stock music player and the inclusion of the puzzle lock screen.

I have had it running on my phone for quite some time and have had zero issues with it so far. I use the GPS constantly, stream the audio (music and phone) to my car stereo using bluetooth, and have an addiction to Angry Birds like no other.
