*thank you kylesum for updating this for me
**sorry, no flashable update zip for v6a. everyone needs to flash a full rom this time, please! Don't forget to back up first.
***you can restore nandroid data over v6a if it's from THIS rom ONLY
****If for some reason root is not working for you, flash this SU binaries zip in recovery***

kylesum JB kernel download:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28712675&postcount=799

Kernel tests:
matr1x - breaks audio (reporetd by kijp15)
air - breaks audio (there are reports v3.5 may work) (reported by ubnub82)
trinity - breaks camera and possibly google music (reported by the1dynasty)
kylesum - works with BLN (no settings in bln control app) and overclocking (thanks to kylesum for building this!!)
GladOS - v2.11 - works with bln, oc, voodoo (100% working possibly?) - (reported by xuser)

Credit goes to kylesum for the working wifi, data & voice service....I just posted the compiled rom to the OP :)

I used the audio files from this flashable zip to get audio working (you do NOT need to flash this...it's only linked to give credit to the dev who fixed it for nexus s;))

Changelog (borrowed mostly from steven676's post...edited to reflect crespo4g version)

changes in v6a:
Voice Search/Google Now fix from steven676
Roaming indicator fix

Changes in v6:
fixed FC loop at boot
removed "roaming indicator" message fix. can still be manually applied successfully

Changes in v5:
libhardware_legacy.wifi.so updated to support wifi tethering.
Permissions on /system/etc/bluetooth fixed to allow BlueZ to see its config files -- fixes phone calls over a Bluetooth headset, plus lots of other Bluetooth-related functionality.
hwcomposer.s5pc110.so replaced with a build from Jelly Bean-based source -- hopefully fixes hwcomposer bugs people have been experiencing. (See this post for more information.)
/system/etc/media_codecs.xml and /system/etc/media_profiles.xml copied from the Jelly Bean device/samsung/crespo tree -- video recording now works.
/system/lib/libjni_mosaic.so copied from Nexus 7 JRN84D image -- panoramic camera now works.
/system/framework/framework-res.apk edited with corrected eri.xml to fix the "data roaming indicator OFF" message"

credits & thank yous:
steven676 - for discovering most of the patches used to make this rom usable/stable, and offering his assistance in making them work for NS4G
kylesum - for porting working wifi & data
indirect - his ported rom is used as the base for this
jblazea50 - eri.xml (fixes data roaming indicator on notification bar)
Google, for making our devices so fast I can barely keep up
Linus Torvalds for telling nvidia " you" (LMFAO) and creating linux in the first place
anyone else who has had a hand in this...sorry if I forgot to mention you :)

Re: [ROM] JRN84D 4.1 Jelly Bean - working audio, voice, WIFI & 3g

when i download, saves to a different format other than .zip, the file is corrupt or broken according to winrar, says 205 mb but only downloads as 75.1 mb, & renaming the extension does not work, can anyone repackage and mirror this so i can give it a run??

this is a C&P from my post at XDA and you're the only person to mention that after a few hundred downloads. Please try again...maybe using a different browser.

Re: [ROM][v5] JRN84D 4.1 Jelly Bean - working audio, voice, WIFI

YES! I downloaded and flashed this last night, just the one with out working WiFi. My 3G connection was sucking really bad last night at home and was really wishing I had WiFi, now it works! I'm so happy! Going to download and flash tonight when I get home. I love this ROM, Jelly Bean is smooth as butter.

Re: [ROM][v5] JRN84D 4.1 Jelly Bean - working audio, voice, WIFI

Hey lightyear, sorry for the ignorance, but I'm assuming since you don't say anything about wiping cache or dalvik cache to flash the update, then none of that is necessary? Am I correct on that?

Re: [ROM][v5] JRN84D 4.1 Jelly Bean - working audio, voice, WIFI

How do you get rid of roaming off at the bottom of the pull down shade?

Re: [ROM][v5] JRN84D 4.1 Jelly Bean - working audio, voice, WIFI

Version 6 is available from the same source location.

Everything minus 4g is working and its buttery smooth ;)

Just did a clean install of v6 and everything is working good. Haven't played with Google Now yet though. Awesome work! There's just enough differences in JB from ICS to make me love it even more.

Well you would almost have to love it more. Over all it is so much snappier and crisp than ICS or GB. You make your device do something and its done, not 5 second not 10 seconds lag later its done now!

How long do you guys think it'll be till we get a tweakable version?

Definitely agree 100%. I came from an LG Optimus before I got my Nexus S with ICS on it and then I thought it was amazing. But I started to have lag issues with ICS, even with the CPU over clocked. I don't even feel that that will be necessary with this OS.

Re: [ROM][v5] JRN84D 4.1 Jelly Bean - working audio, voice, WIFI

I get the error com.android.phone has stopped. Over and over on the setup screen after flash.

v5 had some bugs...i havent had a chance to update this post yet, but theres a newer version in my thread at xda

**updated post with newest update & info (v6a)

Downloading now. I went to use my camera today and I can't seem to find it, lol. I know when you first start the ROM there's a shortcut icon on the home screen but I don't like icons there so I got rid of it, but it's not in the app drawer anywhere. Gonna load up v6a and see if my camera comes back.

if it's not in the app drawer for whatever reason, you can always get to it through the lockscreen ;)

I know its pre rooted , but version 6a is the most current and it should retain root.

Otherwise just flash this zip file in CWM/TWRP and you will have root again...

Superuser v3.0.7 (Flash in CWM/TWRP)

sorry, that's my mistake...I accidentally posted the wrong link for the su.zip...that's the reason for the confusion. I fixed the link in the OP so it's right now.
