Ron Amadeo tweets: Pixel 3 XL back made of plastic?

Ron tripping... Why in the world would he even reference a random tweet about it being "light"
He probably hadn't seen that Russian (Ukranian?) 3 XL review yet. The guy who wrote that refers to the phone he received as a plastic early demo model with only okay-ish build quality. Course I have no idea if he wrote the word for "plastic." That may have been all on Google Translate.

In case anyone hasn't seen it:

Speaking of that Russian review, here's an XDA "what we know so far" compendium of "facts" about the 2018 Pixels:

Loooong, but there's a neat summary table at the bottom of the page.

My only question is, Would I feel comfortable squeezing a glass frame?

There's special sensors from HTC, you don't really need to squeeze that hard. Plus, there's a metal frame. I think a button is better. You can accidentally squeeze it easily. However, hopefully they didn't place the antenna lines in the wrong places like the Pixel 2.. the phone got bent easily and broke.

It's probably that weird painted plastic coating layer they used, which defeats the purpose of having a metal phone.. just make it friggin' plastic then! And while you're at it, make the back removable! Google is definitely losing their minds...

It's called paint
