Root Android 9 Pie without PC

I've tried rooting my Moto E6.... 10 times so far! Didn't work. I've tried both KingRoot and KingoRoot. I don't have access to a PC or Laptop. Is there any other way I can access the Root Directory to change permissions so that I may CUSTOMIZE my device?

So far as I know, rooting cannot be done well, or safely, or sometimes at all, unless done via a PC or laptop.

Is the bootloader locked?

Stay away from kingroot , try XDA Forums if they have alternative but usually it's by cable .

Even Kingoroot can be bad news, but I've heard it's easier than Kingroot to remove their spyware junk.
