ROOT DROID X w/OFFICIAL 2.2????

Does anyone know how we are gonna get a droid x rooted when it has the official 2.2 froyo??Are we supposed to root before we update or should we root after the update???

Yeah there isn't a root just yet with the leaked 2.2, so it would make sense to root before the OTA update and hope that you keep su access.

Well the other option would be to root it now, follow the rooted directions for using the leak and you would be at 2.2 with root without waiting for the OTA.

My guess is when 2.2 goes live win 3 days there will be a 2.2 root method, and by 5 days a program you can install on the phone to root and unroot.

Are u stock 2.1? If not flash back. Then root. Drop the su file from system bin to xbin. Then run the 2.2 zip and your good. Check the root section for the x. I posted asking this and got great tips.
