Hello all
I am rooted but just running stock rom. I only rooted to use certain apps and such.
My question is i am using root explore as my file manager and at the top when you open it up it says:
>Mounted as r/o Mount R/W (Mount R/W) looks to be a button to select.
1. what does this mean?
2. what is this for?
Thanks for your help in advance.

I'm not familiar with root explore, but the R/O and R/W are pretty common file terms.

R/O = Read Only, you can look at the files but not modify them
R/W = Read & Write, you can modify the files. BE VERY CAREFUL with this. since you are root you can modify/delete files necessary for the phone to operate you could brick your phone if you don't know what your doing.

I had a good idea that was what that meant. So my next question is this:
If I went to /data/delvik-cache & and moved the delvik-cache to the SD card to increase internal space 1: would that work & 2: would that be safe?
I know there is a way to do this through ADB Shell so I was wondering if this would be the same?

No you will need to do more than just move it for the dalvik to work properly. Search in this section. There is a thread where I had nick make a script to move it to cache.
