my galaxy s3 I9300 xxella has superuser but not rooted. does it mean it was once rooted. if yes, hw do I reroot? if no, hw do I root? thank you

Franklin,
You ran a root checker and confirmed that the phone is not rooted?
The presence of the SuperUser binaries would generally indicate that the phone was previously rooted.
Did you look in the rooting threads? That's your best bet for instructions on how to root. http://forums.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?t=218695

Sent from my rooted, debloated, deodexed Sinclair ZX-80 running CM 10.2 using Tapatalk 4

The next step would be to root the phone using Odin. There should be threads and step by step instructions on AC and XDA forums.

Edit-----

Misread the post. If you are rooted there are several options. You could uninstall bloatware, install apps that require root, flash ROMs, etc.
