Root question (Yes, I'm a n00b.)

Anybody have any advice on how to root an Evo Shift 4g with OSX 10.4 (Tiger) - i've only been able to come up with solutions for running it via 10.5 (Leopard) and above.. I wasn't sure if there was some way to possibly do it via the Terminal..

I know the terminal can be used and pretty sure it's the same process. If you dig deep in this thread, there several answers about using the terminal... You'll just have to skim through it
