Root & Rom Note 4 now or later?

I've just got my Note 4 and want to root it and install a Custom Rom, but is there any point in doing so before the Lollipop update comes out.

I don't want to get it looking, feeling and performing the way I want it to, only to then have to do it all over again when I update to Lollipop.

Is there a way to back up the ROOT, ROM and APP settings before hand then re-install them after the update?

In my opinion yea its worth it as you can use titanium backup to restore.

But the desicion is yours

I am waiting until lollipop arrives. I have some experience jailbreaking iphones and one or two android root and kernel experiments on the Nexus 5 but I don't know enough about Samsungs so I am staying stock for a few months until lollipop and then I will decide.....probably.....I could get bord over Christmas
