I do not currently root, and I am just trying to get a feel for the rooting environment these days.
I used to load "OS leaks" on my BlackBerry because everyone who has owned a BlackBerry knows the OS is boring as hell - especially over 12 months ago. The problem with these freshly baked OSes was that some native, important features of the phone would not work in the new OS.
My Droid Inc is first and foremost a WORK phone; so, I need everything - including GPS & car dock - to work flawlessly. Business needs coming first, I have ignored the adventure of rooting my Droid Inc.
Now that the rooting community has matured since the early days of Android, I'd love to know:
1. Do you regularly go without the core features that came with your phone (GPS, your car dock, bluetooth, etc.). Or,
2. Have the ROM developers done a good job of ensuring everything works?
Thank you!
