root to change mac address?

I am new to rooting for Android but I have jailbroken my ipods so I am not real nervous. I need to change my mac address on my Bionic. I need to root to do this right?

What root program should I use? I am on 5.9.05.xt875

Anyone know what mac address change program works on Bionic?
