Wasn't there once an application that would root your phone? Does anyone have that link?

Unrevoked is what you rlooking for as is in the link above. Real easy to do but I suggest reading all the instructions first. Don't brick your phone.

I'm sorry to say this, but if this seems complicated, maybe you shouldn't be rooting. Having a rooted phone does require a little bit of knowing what you are doing.

If you still want to root, it's pretty simple, really. Go to settings>Applications>development and make sure "usb debugging" is checked. Then open Unrevoked, plug your phone into your computer, and it'll do the rest for you.

Of course, if you're running windows, you'll have to download hboot drivers. there are tutorials for doing that around the internet, so just google it. If you're using a Mac or Linux, you don't have to worry about this step.

I am a mental midget still seems complicated to me

Have to agree with the post above about perhaps not doing it if Unrevoked seems too complicated. However, if your dead set on it, just wait for Upstreammiami to see this thread and reply or go and seek out one of his posts and hit up the link in his signature...after all, he is the ROOT MAN.

I have a rooted Droix x which is awesome being used by my wife. Rooting is amazing just can't get the process down- for some reason
so not sure the logic works but any help would be appreciated
