Just a heads up to everyone, I really got sick of my Xoom not being used so I took the plunge and rooted it and put ICS on it. One word, Amazing! It is just as responsive as an iPad and the ability to install Google Chrome is great. Its a far better browser than stock. Anyone on the edge, I encourage you to root it and install an ICS rom. I find myself using my Xoom everyday now because it just works far better than it used to.

<rant>Stories like this are starting to take hold, it's only a matter of time before I give in again to rooting another device. As contrary as it is to many Xoom owner's experiences, I've neglected rooting because I was honestly happy about it's performance prior to the last few months. Since the hardware update I've noticed more lag and as of a a few weeks ago I'm even seeing a stutter during reboots and start-ups. I'm either going to harass bestbuy about possibly a "new" one, or dive back into rooting.</rant>

The best thing about the Xoom and any GED product is the 1,2,3 process to restore back to stock. I'd encourage people to take a look at that process first. This way if anything explodes you know you can get back to where you were.

The Xoom is actually designed for the end user to be able to write to it's system partitions.

Over clocking the CPU to 1.5Ghz and the GPU along with ICS, for me, has been a great experience.
