Rooted and Rom'ed, How do i get the OTA

Ok, so i have my incredible rooted and rom'ed. The question i have is what is needed to get the official OTA update?
i have seen places where people say that you have to restore from the stock rom and that's it but other places talking about the boot loader and radio versions. All i have done is root and install roms using rom manager.
if someone could clear this up or point me to the correct thread that would be awesome

Installing ROMs will make it not update.
