I am fairly new to android, so I apologize if some of this stuff sounds ridiculous, but i would appreciate any help.

So I root'd my phone using this method {tutorial} how to root \0/ - xda-developers
and since, i've been having a problem with the Market, where alot of apps including Grooveshark, Fandango, and TMZ don't show up. Also, Wireless tethering doesn't work.

I would like to know if I need to use a different method of rooting my phone, perhaps unrEVOked? Or is there another method? And if I were to use that, Do i need to first restore the phone to its original state? If so, how do i do that?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I just got my Evo today and used the unrevoked method to root and use tethering, (tethering works like a champ) but I have issues with apps not showing up in the market too...I am looking for the engadget app but it doesn't show up in the market, I searched for it but still nothing.
I wonder if it has something to do with unrevoked or not.
I'm a noob to android, any help would be much appreciated

I actually downloaded the stock RUU.EXE and returned my phone to stock, this fixed my market issue...something about the unrevoked root was causing the problem...

Rebooting after using unrevoked should have cleared your phone from any hacks that it may have made.

Your market issues are due to rooting. You need to flash a rooted Rom after you follow toasts rooting instructions.

May I suggest trying Keith and jerrys Rom
