So I was using my rooted HTC One m7 running cm 11 when I noticed it was starting to lag a little bit. I ignored it but eventually i rebooted my phone. After the reboot, (and before the reboot) I was getting spammed by the low battery warning messages. I plugged the charger in but nothing seemed to happen. I continued chatting with my friends over kik, but the lag was unbearable. I shut off my phone, still no signs off it charging. And now nearly an hour later, I still can't start my phone. I've tried switching power output, switching charger cords, holding down the power and vol down buttons, nothing works. I've also noticed that the charger port smells a bit funny. Metally and burnt. Doesn't sound very good does it? I'm a little worried and I would appriciate any help, I've already tried pretty much verything in the thread on XDA "HTC one won't turn on, No LED, no flashing Home/Back button" but I can't post a link to it since this is my first post. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the reply, by repair shop do you mean the shop where I bought my phone or just anywhere were they repair phones? Also, just now, I tried switching cabels from a belkin micro usb to a samsung micro usb, plugging it into my computer. I had already tried this Samsung cable before but then I was using it from a power output, this time I tried plugging it in to my computer, now the LED is blinking in the colour of red and the "charging screen" occasionally comes up. After the little battery animation comes up, it stays like that for a couple of seconds, then it dissapears.
EDIT: I tried switching it on while it was "charging" like this. The phone did turn on and I managed to get into bootloader, however, this only lasted for about 3 seconds, then it shut itself off again.
EDIT 2: I made a brave attempt to boot the phone again, I got into bootloader and immediately went into recovery. From there I flashed cm-11 and then rebooted my phone from recovery. Then phone actually turned itself on and I was pretty relieved, but after starting snapchat to check if everything was working, the battery prompt showed up, telling me that I had 2% left. I still tried to use my phone but eventually after taking a photo on snapchat, the phone shut itself off. In total, it was on for about a minute.
EDIT 3: Backed everything up through bootloader and factory wiped it, now it wont even start at all.

I am wondering of the battery has gone bad, or the charging port is bad. Since you have tried different cables and chargers, that would seem the most likely to be the case. To elaborate what Rukbat said, i would do a search for local repair shops that might be able to do this sort of stuff. I would call computer repair shops and ask (nearly the same thing, but up to them if they want to do that sort of stuff). The worst they will say is no, and you aren't out anything.

Hello Vide, welcome to the forums at Android Central! 🙋

I agree with Golfdriver97, I also suggest that, if you manage to get the phone charging again, let it charge, don't turn it on, don't do anything, just let it charge. See if that works.
Good luck!

Thank you all! Yes, the problem lies in the hardware, I was at a repair shop and they took my phone to run a diagnostic, he said that the charger port might have gone bad or possibly the battery, he also mentioned something about the circuits leading to the motherboard might have been damaged, and if that's the case they won't be able to fix it, I'll just hope for the best, Thank you all once again for helping me, I'll update you about whether or not my phone can be fixed.
