My rooted GN (with newest radios) has had reception issues since I purchased it. One minute it would have a good solid connection and the next it would not despite not changing location. Verizon believes its an issue with the phone and is sending me a new phone tomorrow. Obviously, this will require that I root the new phone and reinstall the ROM I was running etc.
Since this is the first time Ive rooted a phone, Im unclear if there is an easy way to back up and preserve the current settings on my phone so I dont have to redo each homescreen and setting.
For example, Ive done a nandroid backup and also backed up my apps via tibu. Can those files be saved on my computer and then reloaded on the new phone? If so, will I first have to reflash the ROM, Kernal and Launcher that Im using or will those files be flashed to the new phone via the nandroid restore? Are there any other issues I need to be aware of?
Thanks
