I rooted awhile back played around with custom roms. But my battery life was always bad with a extended battery. When I unrooted my battery lift was better. Now I am rooted again. I am using stock, no roms. And the Kernel Version is King-svs-oc-uverik@Ubuntu #6. I charged my phone last night alarm went off at 10:30am its now 11:00 and my battery is at 93%.

I use wifi tether but not using it this morning. I also have launcer 7, and I did have task killer. But it did not seem to help. I don't have many apps b/c I use my Ipod more.

If anyone has any tips to help my battery?

Thanks so much. :)

A 5 to 7% drop when coming off the charger is not that unusual. It's how the phone behaves on the charger and how it displays Green on the LED. Short version is that when the phone hits 100% it will stop charging and run off the battery until it hit's 90% and then it will top off again. When you unplug it's still above 90% so it says it's full, but it's only mostly full.

Hope this helps.

I have never had better battery life on the incredible than rooted, running cm7, with the latest incredikernels (.37s).

That said, i keep my homescreens fairly neat, use few widgets, keep sync checks to hourly or longer, and stay on top of my screen brightness to make the battery life last.

I suggest you have a look at your battery usage (with an app like spare parts or a battery widget) and see what's using up your battery, and report back and we can see if we could help.
